Our Vermont Bed and Breakfast is located in the sleepy village of Barnard, just 8miles from Woodstock, is set amid beautiful formal gardens against the backdrop of lush forrest. The village is located at the edge Silver Lake and is the picture postcard New England hamlet with white steepled churches, wonderful general store and country lanes for exploring with the changing seasons. Barnard is the home of the Zuckmayer “Farm in  the Green Mountains” as well as Silver Lake State Park and Twin Farms Resort.

The warm open plan of the Cape style home surrounding a wood burning fire lends itself to hospitality. The living room is a comfortably appointed warming oasis for fireside reading, television and afternoon refreshments. The quiet gardens,surrounding meadows of wildflower and pastures offer a peaceful commune with nature.

Each of the three spacious comfortable bedrooms, all with private bath, are beautifully decorated and appointed with every amenity, exquisite French bed linens of the purest cotton, down pillows and comforters, and each has splendid vistas of the gardens and green mountains beyond.

As your hostess, with the able assistance of my friendly Clumber Spaniel Chloe, I look forward to welcoming you and to sharing my bed and breakfast in this very special part of Vermont with my guests. I have spent some twenty six years in resort management in Bermuda and it is my pleasure to look after your complete comfort and satisfaction. Children of all ages welcome as well as pets, making Chelsea Farm the ideal spot for a family vacation.
